Senior Technical Office Architect

Coordinate with other Technical Office engineers to produce shop drawings with attention to aesthetics and cost-efficiencyAnalyze building codes, by-laws, space/site requirements, and technical documents to assess their impact on architectural and civil designsCoordinate structural, electrical, and mechanical designs and determine optimal presentation methods for building plansResolve conflicts between various design components to maintain design integrityDraft and print detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on sketches, engineering calculations, and technical dataPlan interior layouts using CAD tools and softwareDefine procedures and instructions in line with design specifications and material quantitiesPrepare and issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify conflicts or missing informationCollect site data and perform site visits to verify measurements and assist in architectural designAnalyze technical aspects of architectural concepts, including stress, weight, and volume calculationsRepresent architects on-site, ensuring compliance with design specs and suggesting corrections if neededCheck dimensions and assign codes/numbers to material lists Understand company needs to define system specificationsPlan and design the structure of IT solutions or systems architectureCommunicate technical requirements clearly to development teamsEvaluate software/hardware and recommend integration methodsOversee assigned programs, conduct code reviews, and provide technical support to team membersResolve technical issues during development and implementation phasesEnsure architecture implementation aligns with business and user needsAddress concerns, suggestions, and provide improvements to technical frameworksMonitor system performance and ensure alignment with business goals

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience:Minimum 5-8 years in Technical Office/Architectural designSolid experience in systems architecture and IT project coordination (for Systems Architecture roles)Proficiency in CAD software, design tools, and modeling programsStrong understanding of building codes, standards, and construction practicesFamiliarity with software development processes and infrastructure design (for IT-related roles)Strong communication and coordination skillsAbility to manage complex, cross-functional projects and resolve interdisciplinary conflictsDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
