Job Summary The Fit-Out Site Engineer is responsible for executing interior fit-out works on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
The role involves daily supervision, coordination with subcontractors, and resolving site-related technical issues.⸻
Key Responsibilities
1.
Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise all fit-out activities including:
- Partitions (gypsum, glass, wood)
- Ceilings (gypsum, metal, acoustic)
- Flooring (tiles, marble, wood, vinyl)
- Wall finishes (paint, cladding, wallpaper)
- Joinery & furniture installation
- Ensure work is executed according to approved shop drawings and specifications.
- Monitor daily site progress and manpower productivity.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.⸻

Technical Coordination
- Review and interpret:
- Shop drawings
- Material submittals
- Method statements
- Coordinate with:
- MEP teams (critical for ceiling & coordination zones)
- Structural works (if interface exists)
- Technical office for drawing updates
- Resolve site conflicts and technical issues.⸻
3.
Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with project quality standards and consultant requirements.
- Conduct inspections before consultant approvals (IRs).
- Monitor finishing quality (alignment, levels, joints, tolerances).
- Ensure proper installation techniques and workmanship.⸻

Material & Logistics Management
- Coordinate material deliveries with procurement team.
- Check materials upon delivery against approved submittals.
- Ensure proper storage and handling on site.
- Track material consumption and minimize waste.⸻
5.
Planning & Progress Tracking
- Follow up on project schedule and ensure activities meet deadlines.
- Identify delays and report risks to site/project manager.
- Assist in preparing look-ahead schedules (2-week / 1-month).⸻

Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards on site.
- Monitor safe working practices of labor and subcontractors.
- Report any incidents or unsafe conditions.⸻KPIs (Performance Indicators)
- Work progress vs. schedule.
- Quality of finished works (snag-free handover).
- Number of reworks / defects.
- Coordination efficiency with MEP and other trades.
- Adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
- 3–5 years experience in fit-out / finishing works.
- Experience in projects such as: Hotels -Offices
- Retail / commercial spaces⸻Technical Skills Strong knowledge of:
- Interior finishing materials and systems
- Shop drawings and detailingProficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- MS Excel & reporting tools
- Ability to read drawings and execute with precision.⸻Soft Skills
