Cashiers handle a variety of tasks related to customer transactions and retail operations.

Their primary duties include: Processing Transactions: Accept payments via cash, credit/debit cards, checks, or digital payment platforms, issue receipts, and provide correct change when necessary.

Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions about products or store policies, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Product Handling: Scan items, verify prices and quantities, apply discounts or promotions, and bag purchases.

Returns and Exchanges: Process returns or exchanges according to company policies and escalate special requests to supervisors when needed.

Cash Management: Maintain an accurate cash drawer, perform cash register reconciliations, and follow cash handling procedures to prevent discrepancies.
